AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF
JEFFERSON STREET 150 FEET FROM THE PROPERTY LINE OF,NORTH NINTH STREET EAST
TOWARD NORTH SIXTH STREET TO THE WEST PROPERTY LINE OF NORTH SIXTH STREET; ON
EITHER SIDE OF SIXTH STREET FROM THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF JEFFERSON STREET
TO THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE OF CLARK STREET; ON EITHER SIDE OF KENTUCKY AVENUE
FRO -1 THE PROPERTY LINE OF SOUTH SIXTH STREET 150 FEET EAST TOWARD FIFTH STREET;
ON THE NORTH SIDE OF KENTUCKY AVENUE FROM THE PROPERTY LINE OF SIXTH STREET 150
I FEET WEST TOWARD SEVENTH STREET; ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF KENTUCKY AVENUE FROM THE
WEST PROPERTY LINE OF SIXTH STREET TO THE EAST PROPERTY LINE OF SEVENTH STREET;
PROHIBITING VEHICLES TRAVELING EAST ON KENTUCKY AVENUE MAKING A LEFT TURN INTO
SIXTH STREET AND PROHIBITING VEHICLES TRAVELING SOUTH ON SIXTH STREET MAKING
iA LEFT TURN INTO KENTUCKY AVENUE; AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE, WITH THE
APPROVAL OF THE CITY MANAGER, TO ESTABLISH LOADING ZONES IN RESTRICTED PARKING
AREAS; PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS HEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT QEREWITH

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF TYE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:

SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, company or corporation
to at any time park or leave standing a vehicle of any kind on the south side of
Jefferson Street 150 feet from the property line of North Ninth Street east
toward Sixth Street to the west property line of North Sixth Street; on either
side of Sixth Street from the south property line of Jefferson to the north
property line of Clark Street; on either side of Kentucky Avenue from the property
line of South Sixth Street 150 feet east toward South Fifth Street; on the north
side of Kentucky Avenue from the property line of South Sixth Street 150 feet
west toward Seventh Street; on the south side of Kentucky Avenue from the west
property line of South Sixth Street to the east property line of South Seventh
Street.
SECTION 2. It is further provided that vehicles traveling east on Kentucky
Avenue are prohibited from making a left turn into Sixth Street at the intersection
of Kentucky Avenue and Sixth Street; and vehicles traveling south on Sixth Street
are prohibited from making a left turn into Kentucky Avenue at the intersection
of Kentucky Avenue and Sixth Street.
SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any provisions of this ordinance the Chief of
Police, with the approval of the City Manager, is hereby granted the authority to
establish loading zones within the areas restricting parking.
SECTION 4. Any person,'firm, company, or corporation violating the provisions
of this ordinance shall be fined not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than
Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00), and each time such violation occurs shall be
construed as a separate offense.

SECTION 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
