HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 592, No Ordinance Number592 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF EGYPTIAN CONCRETE COMPANY, INCORPORATED FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH REINFORCED CONCRETE SEWER PIPE, IN THE SUM OF x34,575.04 AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF KENTUCKY: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Egyptian Concrete Company, Incorporated for the sale to the City of Paducah of reinforced concrete sewer pipe in the sum of x4,575.04, as said pipe is described in Eqyptian Con- crete Company's bid dated December 18, 1951. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to en into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a contract for the purchase of said reinforced concrete sewer pipe, provided that said contract con- tains all of the terms and conditions set forth in said company's bid together with such additional conditions and covenants the City Manager may deem necessary. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one week for public in- spection in the completed form in which it shall be placed upon its final passage. Because of the immediate need for said sewer pipe in the building of sewers at the Municipal Housing Project, the public health and safety requires that this ordinance shall take immediate effect, qn emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
