CORPORATION OF AMERICA FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A TWO-WAY RADIO
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR USE IN THE POLICE DEPAR'24ENT OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH;
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF SAID SYSTEM;
AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE CONTAINED IN SAID CONTRACT

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C0181ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of the Radio Cor-
poration of America in the sum of $3,,128.50 for the sale to the City of Paducah
of a two-way FM radio communication system for use in the Police Department of
the City of Paducah, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract
for the purchase of said system, said contract to be in words and figures as
follows, to -wit:
"That the City (meaning the City of Paducah) has agreed to purchase and
the Company (meaning the Radio Corporation of America) has agreed to sell to the
City for the sum of $3,128.50 the following described radio equipment:
One RCA type CT -12A sixty watt station transmitter and CR -9A
receiver complete with 115 volt A -C power supplies all housed
in an attractive 63" upright steel cabinet provided with locks
and interlocks and including local control desk unit.
Also one RCA type CA-lA ground plane station antenna out to
operating frequency and including necessary bitackets and fittings
for connecting to RG -17/U transmission lines.
Also RG -17/U ooaxil transmission line complete with necessary
fittings for connecting to station transmitter.
Also 5 RCA 15 watt "Carfone" type CMV -1B, mobile transmitter -
receiver complete with roof mount antenna, dash control unit,
palm micorphone, universal mounting loudspeaker and necessary
cable. Note: Separate control unit and loudspeakers will be
supplied In ieu of the combination unit pictures in the en-
closed literature.
Installation of station and mobile equipment antenna and trans-
mission line.
In consideration of the above payment to be made by the City at the
time and in the manner hereinafter provided the Company does hereby agree to com-
ply with the specifications which are attached to and made a part of this ordi-
nance to the same extent as if fully copied herein, and also to comply with
those specifications set forth in the letter of the Radio Corporation of America
dated April 27, 1950, said letter being also filed with and made a part of this
ordinance to the same extent as if copied herein.
It is further understood and agreed that the aforesaid radio equipment
shall be completely installed within a period of 45 days from the date of the
execution of a contract pursuant to this ordinance. The sum of $3 128.50 is to b
paid f.o.b. Paducah, freight prepaid, and is to include all installation work.
It is further agreed that the City shall pay 1/3 of the cost at the time of
delivery, 1/3 thirty days after the date of installation and the acceptance of
said system by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah and the balance
to be paid 120 days after the installation and acceptance of said system by the

Board of Commissioners if it is then operating in a satisfactory manner".
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file at least one week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage,
and shall be in fall force and effect ten days thereafter.
