ON APRIL 24, 1951, AND AMENDED ON JUNE 26, 1951.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 5 of an ordinance containing the title quoted
above, which ordinance was adopted on April 24, 1951, and amended on June 26,
1951, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as
amended and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 5. The City Manager is further authori zed to employ for
the City of Paducah until December 31, 1951, an attorney to be designated as
Special Counsel who shall represent the City in any proceeding it may be re-
quired to initiate for the reduction of rates for gas service, the litigation
involving the acquisition of the electric utilities system of the Kentucky
Utilities Compgny, the four flood damage suits now pending against the city,
and any other damage suits that may be filed against said city prior to
December 31, 1951."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
