AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING TRE BID OF KING-WCODALL MOTOR SALES FOR THE
SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A ONE-HALF TON CANOPY EXPRESS TRUCK FOR USE
IN THE ENGINEERING DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C014MISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of King -Woodall
Motor Sales in the sum of $1,374.87 for the sale of one (1) 1/2 ton Canopy
Express Truck complete with oil Bath Air Cleaner, Oil Filter, Chrome Grille,
Auxiliary Seat.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized
to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a
contract for the purchase of said truck, provided that said contract may
contain such conditions and covenants which the City Manager may deem
necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file at least one (1) week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage, but by reason of the fact that the truck now being used by j
the Engineering Division will be turned over to the Dog Catcher and it
being necessary that the Dog Catcher be furnished with a truck as soon as
possible for the protection of the public health and safety, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
