REI�-IOVAL OF CERTAIN HOUSES ON THE WHITE VETERAN'S PROJ KY -V-15-140 TO THE RHODES-BROADY COURT AT 11TH AND FLOURNOY STREETS IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION BY THE CITY OF A CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT WITH OI.IAL JOHNSON AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID CONTRACT BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CODU61ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Omal Johnson in the amount of ?4,200.00, being X600.00 each for the removal and relocating of seven certain buildings, to -wit: Buildings Nos. "A", "Blf, "C", "E", "G", "H", and "I" so designated and shown upon the plat of the Paducah Municipal Housing Project No. KY -6-3; that said buildings be removed from the Municipal Housing Project KY -V-15-140 and relocated on the Rhodes -Broady Court at 11th & Flournoy Streets. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a contract w ith Omal Johnson in accordance with the bid of said Omal Johnson, all laws and ordinances pertaining to the subject matter, together with such additional conditions and covenants which the City Manager may deem necessary. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection for at least one week in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. As it is immediately necessary to provide accommodations for persons required to vacate because of construction of a new housing project, the public health and safety require that this ordinance be made immediately effective, an emergency is accordingly declared and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
