TO BE TEMPORARILY UIPLGYED FOR A PERIOD OF TWO AND OIJE HALF MONTHS; PRESCRIBING
THE DUTIES AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF HIS COMPENSATION; AND AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER
OF THE SUM OF 5562.50 FROM THE CONTINGENT FUND TO THE ACCOUNT APPROPRIATED FOR
PAYMENT OF SALARIES OF EMPLOYEES IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY TREASURER
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIVMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City i•:anager be, and he is hereby authorized to appoint
a suitable person to be employed in the office of the Gity Treasurer as an
assistant collector of licenses. The person so appointed shall be emplpyed
until September 1, 1951, and his employment being temporary or seasonal, as
provided under KRS 90.300, he shall not acquire any rights under the rules of
Civil service governing employees in cities of the second class.
It shall be the duty of the assistant license collector to work with the
license inspector and members of the police department in the collection of all
delinquent licenses, and he shall be subject to the control and direction of the
City Treasurer in the performance of his duties.
SECTION 2. There is hereby transferred from the Contingent Fund the sum of
;:562.50 in order to provide the funds necessary for payment of the salary of said
assistant license collector at the rate of :'1225.00 per month, and said funds shall
be transferred to the account under which employees of the City Treasurer's
office are paid.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be published in the
Sun Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance and of the proposal
to make the transfer of funds in the foregoing section. Said notice to be publish
at least two weeks before this ord finance shall be put upon its final passage.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the
Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection for two weeks
in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and it
shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
