AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF THAT PART OF TENNESSEE STREET
EXTENDING ALONG THE NPRTHWEST BIDE PF THE HEREINAFTER MENTIONED PROJECT; THAT
PART OF TWENTY-THIRD STREET EXTENDING THROUGH SAID PROJECT; AN ALLEY 10 FEET IN
WIDTH EXTENDING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION FROM TENNESSEE STREET; THAT PORTION OF
TWENTY-FOURTH STREET 40 FEET IN WIDTH EXTENDING FROM THE PROPOSED NORTH BOUNDARY
LINE OF ELM STREET; AN ALLEY 20 FEET IN WIDTH INTERSECTING TWENTY-FOURTH STREET
AND RUNNING PARALLEL WITH ELM STREET; AN ALLEY 20 FEET IN WIDTH EXTENDING FROM
THE PROPOSED NORTH BOUNDARY LINE OF ELM STREET AND INTERSECTING THE AFORESAID 20
FOOT ALLEY WHICH RUNS PARALLEL WITH ELM STREET; AN UNNAMED STREET 30 FEET IN
WIDTH EXTENDING FROM THE WEST SIDEOF "C" STREET; AND ANY OTHER STREET, ALLEY OR
OTHER PUBLIC WAY WITHIN THAT AREA COMPRISING WHAT IS KNOWN AS PROJECT KY -6-3
OF THE PADUCAH IdUNICIPAL HOUSING COMMISSION AS SAID STREETS, ALLEYS AND PUBLIC
WAYS ARE SHOWN ON A PLAT OF SAID PROJECT RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK "E", PAGE 1 IPI THE
McCRACKEN COUNTY COURT CLERK'S OFFICE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL
TO INSTITUTE IN THE McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT A SUIT TO CLOSE SAID STREETS, ALLEYS
AND OTHER PUBLIC WAYS BY ORDER OF COURT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, in order to provide the Paducah
Municipal Housing Commission with the lands necessary for the construction of a
new housing project, known as Project KT -6-3, without interference by the members
of the traveling public using the streets, alleys and public ways now extending
over and through the site that has been selected and purchased by said commission,
and to enable said commission to establish streets, avenues, alleys and courts in
and through'said property in accordance with the building plans and specifications
of said project, does hereby authorize the closing of all of thatpart of Tennessee
street extending along the northwest side of said project, all of that part of
Twenty-third street extending through said project, an alley 10 feet in width
extending in an easterly direction from Tennessee street into said project, that
portion of Twenty-fourth street 40 feet in width extending from the proposed north
line of Elm Street into said Project, an alley 20 feet in width intersecting
Twenty-fourth street and running parallel with Eibm Street through a part of said
project, an alley 20 feet in width extending from the proposed north boundary
line of Elm street and intersecting the aforesaid 20 foot alley which runs parallel
with Elm Street, and an unnamed street 30 feet in width extending into said project
from the west line of "C" street, and any other street, alley or public way within
that area comprising what is known as Project KY -6-3 of the Paducah Municipal
Housing Commission as said streets, alleys and public ways are shown on a plat of
said project- recorded in Plat Book "E", page 1, in the office of the County Court
Clerk of A'icCracken County, Kentucky, and which streets, alleys and public ways to
be closed hereby being more particularly described as follows:

All that portion of Tennessee Street in said area, and be-
ginning at the N. E. Corner of the intersection of Tennessee
Street and 25th Street; thence Eastwardly with the North
line of Tennessee Street 910 feet, more or less, to the West
line of 23rd Street; thence southwardly 67 feet, more or
less, to a point where the south .line of Tennessee Street
intersects the south line of 23rd street; thence westwardly
with the south line of Tennessee Street $71.5$ feet, more
orless, to the north line of Elm Street; thence Northwardly
82.67 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
All that portion of 23rd street in said area, and beginning
at the S. W. corner of the intersection of 23rd street and
Ohio street; thence southwardly with the west line of 23rd
street 342.5 feet, more or less, to the north line of Ten-
nessee street; thence southwardly 67 feet, more or less, to
a point where the south line of Tennessee street intersects
the south line of 23rd street; thence Eastwardly with the
south line of 23rd street 454.04 feet, more or less, to the
west line of "C" street; thence northwardly with the west
lire of "C" street 60 feet, more or less, to the north line
of 23rd street; thence westwardly with the north line of
23rd street 44L86 feet, more or less, to a point where 23rd
street changes its course; thence northwardly with the new
or east line of 23rd street 373.94 feet, more or less, to
the south line of Ohio Street; thence westwardly 60 feet to
the point of beginning.
All that portion of 24th street in said area, and beginning
at the N. E. corner of the intersection of 24th street and
Elm Street; thence northwardly with the East line of 24th
Street 1$7.73 feet, more or less, to the end of 24th Street
at the south line of Parcel 14 as shown on said plat; thence
westwardly with the south line of said Parcel 14 a distance
of 40.16 feet, more or less, to the west line of 24th street;
thence southwardly with the west line of 24th street 191.3
feet, more or less, to the north line of Elm Street; thence
eastwardly 40 feet to the point of beginning.
All that portion of another 23rd street in said area,
and beginning at the northwest corner of the intersection of 23rd
street and Elm street; thence northwardly with the west line
of 23rd street 152.1 feet, more or less, to the end of 23rd
street at the south line of Parcel 14 as shown on said plat;
thence eastwardly with said. line and a line of Parcel 9 as
shown on said plat 25 feet, more or less, to the east line of
23rd street; thence southwardly with theeast line of 23rd
street $2.5 feet, more or less, to the S. W. corner of said
Parcel 9; thence eastwardly with the south line of said Par-
cel 9 a distance of 25 feet, more or less, to the east line
of 23rd street 63.5 feet more or less, to a point directly
in line with the north line of Elm Street; thence westwardly
50 feet to the point of beginning.
All that portion of an unnamed street extending westwardly
from "C".streetand beginning at a point on the west line
of "C" street 2 E 49 feet, more or less, South of 23rd
street; thence westwardly and with the south line of Parcels
12, 11 and 10 as shown on said plat 240.91 feet, more or
less, to the S. W. corner of Parcel 10; thence Southwardly
30.6 feet, more or less, to the N. W. corner of Parcel 9 as
shown on said plat; thence eastwardly and with the north
line of Parcel 9 and 12B as shown on said plat 229.69 feet,
more or less, to the west line of "C" street; hhence north-
wardly 30 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
All that portion of a ten foot alley in said area running
from Tennessee Street to 24th street, bounded on the north by
Parcels 4 & 16 and on the south by Parcels 1, 2 and 3, as
shown on said plat.
All that portion of a twenty foot alley in said area running
from 23rd street to 24th street, bounded on the north by
Parcel 14 and on the south by Parcels 5, 6, 7 and S, as
shown on said plat/
and the Corporation Counsel is hereby authorized and directed to institute a
suit in the McCracken Circuit Court pursuant to the provisions ofKRS 93.360
for the purpose of carrying the provisions of this ordinance into effect.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
