AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF KING-WOODALL MOTOR SALES FOR THE SALE TO
THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF PADUCAH OF FIVE (5) NEW 1951 PLYMOUTH AUTOMOBILES FOR USE
IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BY TRADING IN FOR SAID NEW AUTOMOBILES POLICE CARS NOS.
3, 4 AND 6; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE

999TIGN 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of King -Woodall Motor
Sales in the amount of $6,970.25 for the sale of five (5) new 1951 Plymouths, Cam-
bridge Deluxe 4 door sedans, color, black, equipped with -automatic choke, buffer
guards/outer front, oil bath, air cleaner, oil filter, dual sunvisors, 6:70x15
4 -ply tires, spare tire and tube, dual electric windshield wipers, 97 horse power
engine, wheelbase 1182 inches, said automobiles shall also be equipped with heaters

heavier guage springs in seats and seat backs and air foam cushions in front; said
sum representing the difference between the sale price of said five (5) new auto-
mobiles and the trade in value allowed for police cars Nos. 3, 4 and 6.
u SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter
into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a contract for the pur-
chase of said automobiles, provided that said contract shall contain all of the
terms, conditions and agreements set forth in said company's bid, together with sub
additional conditions and covenants which the City Manager may deem necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the
Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage,
but it being necessary for the police department to be furnished with said five (5)
new automobiles as soon as possible in order to properly and efficiently patrol
the streets and enforce the ordinances of the City of Paducah and the statutes
of the State of Kentucky for the protection on the public health and safety, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
