FOR THE PURCHASE OF A LOT HAVING A FRONTAGE OF 165 FEET AND 9 INCHES ON THE EAST SIDE OF 21ST STREET AND EXTENDING IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF MONROE STREET 504 FEET, MORE OR LESS, AND ALSO A LOT FRONTING 408 FEET, MORE OR LESS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF MADISON STREET AND EXTENDING BACK ALONG THE EAST SIDE OF 21ST STREET 165 FEET AND 9 INCHES TO AN ALLEY; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, WHOSE SIGNATURE SHALL BE ATTESTED BY THE CITY CLERK, TO EXECUTE FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, A DEED OF CONVEYANCE TO SAID PROPERTY WHEN THE PURCHASE PRICE IN THE SUM OF $9,918.00 HAS BEEN PAID; AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID PROPERTY SHALL BE CONVEYED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the offer of the National Manufacturing & Dist. Company in the sum of $9,918.00 for the purchase of two (2) certain lots or parcels of land owned by the city, one of said lots having a frontage of 165 feet 9 inches on the east side of 21st street and extending in an easterly firection along the north side of Monroe Street 504 feet, more or less, and the other lot having a frontage of 408 feet, more or less, on the south side of Madison Street and extending back along the east side of 21st street 165 feet and 9 inches to an alley. SECTION 2. The purchase price for the above mentioned property shall be paid in cash, and Stuart Johnston, the Mayor of the City of Paducah, whose signature shall be attested by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, is hereby authorized and empowered, for and on behalf of said city, to execute and deliver to the National Manufacturing & Dist. Company a deed of conveyance to the above described property, conveying the same to it under a description to be approved: by the City Engineer. Said property shall also be conveyed with covenant of Special Warranty, and subject to any encroachments or other physical conditions which an accurate survey would show, and the grantee shall pay all state and county taxes which shall become due ij the year 1951. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
