HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 281, No Ordinance Number281 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF TAYLOR -WILSON CHEVROLET COMPANY, INC., FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF THREE ONE AND ONE-HALF TON TRUCKS FOR USE IN THE STREET DIVISION, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Taylor-wilson Chevrolet Company, Inc., in the amount of $7,051.20 for the sale of three (3) 1951 Chevrolet 12 -ton trucks, Model #¢103, equipped with heavy duty radiator, overload springs, oil bath air cleaner, oil filter, 700x20 10 -ply tires, single front and dual rear, 211F yd. w�qterlevel body with 6" cylinders, big motors and heavy duty frame, as said trucks are described in said company's bid dated February 5, 1951. SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a contract for the purchase of said machine, provided that said contract may contain all of the terms, conditions and agreements as set forth in said company's bid together with such additional conditions and covenants which the city manager may deem necessary. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage. Because of the immediate need for said trucks in the maintenance of streets of the City of Paducah, the public health and safety requires that this ordinance shall take immediate effect, an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. / Mayor Introduced by the Board of Commissioners February, 20, 1951 Passed by the Board of Commissioners Feburary 27, 1951 Recorded by Sarah Thurman, City Clerk, February 27, 1951.
