AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING 71E BID OF BRANDEIS MACHINERY AND SUPPLY COMPANY, INCJ
FOR THE SALE TO TILE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE TANDEM DRIVE MOTOR GRADER FOR USE Iia THE
STREET DIVISION, AND AUTHORIZING TIIE CITY MANAGER TO SISTER INTO A C `NTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY `IIIE BOARD OF CO1-51ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SEC TION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Brandeis Machinery
and supply company, Inc., in the amount of x;11,466.00 for the sale of one (1) Tendemi
Drive Motor Grader with minimum 70 horsepower Diesel Engine, 12' Blade with inter-
changeable 10' Moldboard and Blade, cab with inclosure, scarifier and electric
lighting equipment, as said machine is described in said company's bid dated
January 17, 1951.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter
into and execute, for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, a contract for the pur-
chase of said machine, provided that said contract may contain all of the terms, cc
ditions and agreements as set forth in said company's bid toether with such addi-
tional conditions and covenants which the City I,anager may deem necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meting of the
Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for public
inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
Because of the immediate need for said equipment in the maintenance of streets of t
City of Paducah, the public health and safety requires that this ordinance shall to
immediate eirfect, an emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its adoption.
