A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ONE FARM TRACTOR WITH 1,1011MR ATTACHti'iENT FOR USE IN THE FLOODWALL DEPAR.

BE COMPLIED WITH BY BIDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED I3Y THE BOARD OF COM?ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to
advertise for bids for tYe sale to the City of Paducah of one (1) Track Type Farm
Tractor with 68 inch tread, 10 inch track temperature gauge, power take off for
mower, starter, lights, muffler and swinging seat, together with heavy duty mower
with stone guards, heavy knives and high cutting, attachment. Eower shall be made
to operate from tractor power take off. Also one (1) extra moving blade, 24 knive
and 24 guards. Each bidder shall state the amount acceptable in payment of tre
full purchase price in cash and shall submit a complete description showing the
standard equipment of the tractor he proposes to sell, to�ether with all of the
auxiliary attachments. Said price to be f.o.b. Paducah, Kentucky.
Each b_dder shall also state in his bid the date on which he guarantees
to deliver said tractor and shall agree to post a bond totalling 10; of the pur-
chase price of said tractor, said amount of bond to be subject to forfeiture in
event of failure to deliver within -time specified in bid.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted
up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at
least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at
least seven days prior to the opening, of bids and no bid shall be opened within
ten days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be
received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in
the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Manager up tp
the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who
may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners
shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the city shall not
become legally obligated to purchase said tractor until the adoption of an
ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption. /
