A RESOLUTION AUTIIORIZING ME CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE
OF TIS CITY OF PADUCAH FOR SALE; PRESCRIBING 'ME MANNER IN WHICH SIDS SHALL BE
RECEIVED AND THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID PROPERTY SHALL BE SOLD
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City 11anager be and he is hereby authorized to
advertise for sale certain property which has been purchased by the City of Paducah
at sales held by the Master Commissioner pursuant to judgments rendered in MoCracker
Circuit Court, said property to be sold pursuant to this resolution, being describes
as follows, to -wit:
Allen Street, North side west of Bridge Street
Lots 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24, Block 1
Broadway, Southwest corner, 27th and Broadway
Lots Nos. 9, 10 and 11, Block 18
Chestnut Street, west of Davis, Lot 7, Block 6
Chestnut Street, west of Davis, Lots 2, 3 and 5, Block 9
Chestnut Street, north side, east of 17th Street, Lot 17, Block 3
Davis Street, east side, between Chestnut and Maple
Lots 10, 12, 13 and 14, Block 5.
Elizabeth Street, between 9th and 10th, 4 acres near Cross Creek

SECTION 2. The purchase price for the above described property shall be
paid in cash and any deed executed to a purchaser shall contain a provision under
which the City of Paducah shall convey by special warranty, subject to any defects,

encroachments, or other physical conditions which an accurate survey would shove,
and subject to the state and county taxes assessed against said property as of
July 1, 1950, and payable in the year 1951.
SECTION 3. The City tdanager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted
up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of a request for bids in at leas
one issue in the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least
seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bids shall be opened within ten
days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received
unless it is under seal, nor shall any bids be received after the hour fixed
in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids shall be filed with the Board
of Commissioners which may approve the sale of all or any one of the above
described parcels of land by accepting the highest bid or bids and by adopting an
ordinance authorizing the execution of a deed. The Board of Commissioners shall
reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall not become
legally obligated to sell any of the above described property upon any bid
submitted until an ordinance authorizing the execution of a deed or deeds is
adopted.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
