A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ONE (1) TANDEM DRIVE MOTOR GRADER ;"lITH MINIMUM 70 HORSEPOWER DIESEL
ENGINE FOR USE IN THE STREET DIVISION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH; APID PRESCRIEING 7HE
SPECIFIC TERI,43 AND CONDITIONS TO BE COMPLIED l'lITH BY BIDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to advertis
for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of One (1) Tandem Drive Motor Grader
with minimum 70 horsepower Diesel Engine, 121 Blade with interchangable 101 Mold-
board and Blade, cab with inclosure, scarifier and electric lighting equipment.
Each bidder shall state the amount acceptable in payment of the full purchase price
in cash and shall submit a complete description showing the standard equipment of
the grader he proposes to sell,. together with all of the auxiliary attachments.
Each bidder shall also state in his bid the date on which he guarantees to
deliver said equipment and shall agree to post a bond totalling 10% of the purchase!

price of said equipment, said amount of bond to be subject to forfeiture in event
of failure to deliver within time specified in bid.
SECTION E. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up
at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least
one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least
seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten days
from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless
under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice fcr
the opening of bids. All bids reffeived by the City Manager up to the time fixed
in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the con-
tract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve
the right to reject any and all bids and the city shall not become legally obli-
gated to purchase said grader until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the
execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
