AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF THE SUM OF $;833.20 FROM THE
CONTINGENT FUND ACCOUNT #1500, ;;$237.65 OF SAID SUM TO BE TRANSFERRED TO THE STREET
DIVISION MACHINE EQUIPMENT UNDER ACCOUNT #6291, AND 5:595.55 OF SAID SUM TO BE
TRANSFERRED ID STREET DIVISION PAVING MATERIALS UNDER ACCOUNT #6281, AND PROVIDING
FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF .'- 37.65 FROM SAID ACCOUNT ;x6291, AND THE SUM CF
$595.55 FROM ACCOUNT #6281 FOR LIQUIDATION OF THE TOTAL DEFICIT OF 5 33.20 IN TH E
SPECIAL STREET OILING ACCOUNT.
WHEREAS, on January 1, 1950, there remained to the credit of the special
street oiling account the sum of x}1,511.99, said account comprising the collections
made from persons desiring certain streets 'to be oiled; and as a result of similar
collections which were made during the year 1950, as well as the appropriations
made by the City of 'Paducah from time to time for the purpose of oiling streets,
the additional sum of °A,463.09 was deposited to the credit of the special street
oiling account making available in all for street oiling the total sum of ;-,6,975.08
and
WHEREAS, the city has expended during the year 1950 for the oiling of stree
the total. sum of ?7,808.28, leaving a deficit of :'!E33.20 in said street oiling
account;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE BOARD OF COM1,-1ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That ti -e City of Paducah transfer from tie Contingent Fund the
sum of 5P33.20, ,?237.65 of said sum to be transferred to the approproation for
Street Division Machine Equipment under Account #6291, and 5595.55 of said sum to
transferred to the appropriation for Street Division Paving Materials under Account
#6281, and that the sum of p237.65 of the amount under said Account #6291, and the
sum of $595.55 of the amount under said Account #8281 be appropriated to liquidate
in full the aforesaid deficit of y?833.20 in the aforesaid Special Street Oiling
Account.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be published
in the Sun -Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance and the proposal
to make the aforesaid transfer of appropriations for the year 1950 to provide the s -
of 5033.20 for the purposes set forth in Section 1 of this ordinance, said notice t
be published at least one week before this ordinance shall be put upon its final
passage.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for public
inspection until the transfer of funds as provided herein have been published as
required by law and shall be put upon its fin 1 as sage,A- ter such publication.
