AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT OF AN ASSISTANT LICENSE

HIS DUTIES AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF HIS COMPENSATION; AND PROVIDING THAT THE SALARY Z�
OF SUCH ASSISTANT LICENSE COLLECTOR SHALL BE CHARGED AGAINST THE APPROPRIATION FOR
THE CITY TREASURERIS OFFICE UPON THE ADOPTION OF THE APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE FOR
THE YEAR 1951
WHEREAS, the continued employment of an Assistant License Collector is
necessary if the City of Paducah is to receive the revenues from licenses payable
under various ordinances and the payment of the salary of the Assistant License
Collector is declared to be a current departmental expenditure, the same to be
properly chargable to the appropriation of the public revenues for t'a year 1951
after the adoption of an appropriation ordinance for such year.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE C_ITz
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City manager be, and he is hereby authorized to con-
tinue the employment of a suitable person as an Assistant License Collector, the
person so employed to remain in the service of the City of Paducah for a period of
three months from January 1, 1951 to April 1, 1951, said employment to be temporary
II or seasonal as provided under KRS 90.300, and the person filling such position shal�
not acquire any rights under the rules of civil service governing employees in
cities of the second class.
It shall be the duty of the assistant license collector to work with the
license inspector and members of the police department in the collection of all
delinouent licenses, and he shall be subject to the control and direction of the
City Treasurer in the performance of his duties.
SECTION 2. The salary of the Assistant License Collector shall be 4220.00
per month, said salary to be paid at the same time the salaries of other city
employees are paid. II
SECTION 3. That the salary of the Assistant License Collector is a current)
departmental expenditure and the same shall be charged against the amount appropri-I
ated for the operation and maintenance of the City Treasurerls Office after the
adoption of the appropriation ordinance for the year 1951.
SECTION d. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are
to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
