A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ONE FIFTY HORSE POWER DUAL REAR WHEEL RUBBER TIRE TRACTOR LOADER
FOR USE IN THE STREET DIVISION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH; AND PRESCRIBING THE
SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE COMPLIED WITH BY BIDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to advertise
for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of one new fifty horse power dual
rear wheel rubber tine tractor loader, said loader to be equipped with a three -
fourth cubic yard hydraulically controlled bucket with all auxiliary attachments.
Each bidder shall state the amount acceptable in payment of the full purchase
price in cash and shall submit a complete description showing the standard
equipment of the loader he proposes to sell, together with all of the auxiliary
Each bidder shall also state in his bid the date on which he guarantees to
deliver said equipment.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up
at the City Hall door and lmy inserting notice of thB request for bids in at least
one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at
least seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within
ten days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be
received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed
in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received b;i the City Mana ger
up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners
who may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Comm-
issioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the city shall
not become legally obligated to purchase said loader until the adoption of an
ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption. /
