AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FOUR-WAY STOPS AT THE INTERSECTION OF 13TH AND
PARK AVENUE IN THE CITY OF PADUC AH, KENTUCKY; PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF THE OPERATO.
OF VEHICLES WHEN APPROACHING AND FETTERING SAID IN` ERSECTION; AND FIXING '1HE PENALTY
FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C014MISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. As used in this ordinance the term "intersection" shall
mean the whole of that space at the intersection of one street with another which
is bounded by the property lines as extended across said streets.
SECTION 2. That the intersection of Thirteenth and Park Avenue in
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and the same is hereby declared to be an
intersection at which the operator of a vehicle of any kind shall, when approaching
said intersection from any direction, bring such vehicle to a complete stop before
proceeding to enter or to cross said in`ersection.
SECTION 3. It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicle when,
after bringing his vehicle to a complete stop at said intersection, to enter or to
cross the intersection until that vehicle or those vehicles which first reached the
intersection in point of time have entered or crossed said intersection, and it
shall be unlawful for the operator of such vehicle to drive into the intersection
if the operation of any vehicle or vehicles having priority in point of time will
be reasonably affected by his entering or driving into said intersection.
SECTION 4. If two vehicles approach the aforesaid intersection, one to the
right of the other and they reach the intersection at the same time but before any
other vehicle reaches it, the vehicle on the right shall have the right to proceed
and it shall be unlawful for the operator of the vehicle on the left, after
bringing his vehicle to a complete stop as the operator on the right is also re-
quired to do, to enter or to cross the intersection if the operation of the vehicle

on the right will be reasonably affected by his driving into said intersection.
SECTION 5. Any person, firm, company or corporation iaiolating the provi-
sions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereo
shall be fined not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) and not more than Twenty-five
Dollars (?25.00) for eavh violation thereof.
SECTION 6. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 7. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
