AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE NUMBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF
MEMBERS OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMIJISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The number and ranks of members of the Fire Department
of the City of Paducah, and their monthly salaries, provided said salaries are
not changed by any annual apportionment ordinance adopted hereafter, shall be as
follows:

Lieutenant 6 230.00

Switchboard Operator 3 220.00
Firemen 19 220.00
Provided, however, that a new member of this department, during his first
year of service, shall receive a salary of $210.00 per month, and upon completion
of a year of satisfactory service, as determined by the City Manager on recommen—
dation of the Fire Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased to the amount
shown above.
SECTION 2. The salaries in the amounts provided in this ordinance
shall be paid for services beginning November 1, 1950.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. I
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced at the regular meeting of
the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection at least two
weeks in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage.
