A RESOLUTION REQUESTING ME CITY i'WAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COIr11'.MSIORTERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAII,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized
to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of one new 1950 model
pickup truck equipped with four wheel drive, oil bath air filter, cartridge type
oil filter, spotlight, hot water heater and removable canvas canopy for bed of the
truck. Each bidder shall state the amount acceptable in payment of the full
amount of the purchase price in cash, and shall submit a complete description
showing standard equipment of the vehicle he proposes to supply together with a
list of optional equipment and their respective costs when added to the vehicle.
Each bidder shall also state in his bid the date on irhich he agrees
to deliver said new truck.
SECTION 2. The City I+tanager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in
at least one issue of the 6un-Democrat. The notice shall be oosted and nub]ishnd
at least seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within
ten days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be recei
unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notic
for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City i.:anager up to the time
fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the
contract to the loviest responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reser
the right to reject any and all bids and the city shall not become legally obli-
gated to purchase said truck until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the
execution of a contract.
SECTIO!3 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
