PURCHASE OF A BULLDOZER FOR USE I:i GOVERNMENTAL OPERATIONS, AND PRESC.R_:�11TG THE
SPECIFICATIONS, TSRT,13 AND CONDITIONS TO 13E COIE`LIED FIITH BY ,IDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CMiIilISSMIERS OF IME CITY OF PADUCAH, 1KEi1WGKY
SECTION 1. That the City anagen be, and he is hereby authorized to adver-
tise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of one new crawiler type front
end loader equipped with 1 cu. yd. heavy duty bucket with teeth and bulldozer blade
Tractor to be diesel power engine of at least 40 horse power drawbar, flat shoes on
wide gauge extra long five roller track. Each bidder shall state the amount
acceptable in payment of the full amount of the purchase price in cash, and shall
submit a complete description showing standard equipment of the vehicle he proposes
to supply together with a list of optional equipment and their respective costs
when added to the vehicle.
Each bidder shall also state in his bid the date on which he agrees to deli
said new truck.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up
at the City Hall door and b,i inser tin.- notice of the request for bids in at least
one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least
seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten days
from the date on which this resolution is adopted. Zo bid shall be received unless
under seal, nor shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for
the opening of bids. All bids received by the City i.ianager up to the time fixed
in the notice shall be filed with the uoard of Commissioners who may let the con-
tract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve
the right to reject any and all bids and the city shall not become legally
obligated to purchase said truck until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing
the execution of a contract.
SECTIOPi 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
