HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 150, No Ordinance NumberAN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR UIE CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT OF AN ASSISTANT LICENE COLLECTOR FOR Ali ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF THREE MONTHS FROP:I OCTOBER 1, 1950; PRESCRIBI THE DUTIES AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MIS COMPENSATION; A!D AUTHORIZING ME TRANSFER OF THE SUM OF ;600 FRO1.1 THE CONTINGENT FUND TO THE ACCOUNT APPROPRIATED FOR OF SALARIES OF EMPLOYEES IN THE OFFICE OF HIE CITY TREASURER FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING SAID AgSIS TAWT LICE1I3E COLLECTORTS SALARY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ME CITY OF PADUCAH, KEWTUCIM SECTIOII 1. That the City Ialanager be, and he is hereby authorized to continue the employment of a suitable person as an assistant license collector, the person so employed to remain in the service of the City of Paducah for a period of three months from October 1, 1950 to December 31, 1950, the said employment being tempo- rary or seasonal as provided under KRS 90.300, and the person filling said position shall not acquire any rights under the rules of civil service governing employees i'. cities of the second class. It shall be the duty of the assistant license collector to work with the lice inspector and members of the police department in the collection of all delinquent licenses, and he shall be subject to the control and direction of the City Treasur in the performance of his duties. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the Contingent Fund the sum of .':600 in order to provide the funds nedessary for payment of the salary of said assistant license collector for his services from October 1, 1950 to December 31, 1950, and said sum shall be transferred to the fund out of which all other employe of. the city are paid. SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be published in the gun -Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance and of the proposal to make the transfer of funds in the foregoing section. Said notice to be publishe at least two weeks before this ordinance shall be put upon its final passage. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of the jioard of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection for two weeks in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and it shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
