AN OZDINANCE CONSENTING TO AI4D APPROVING THE SALE AND ASSIGNMENT BY THE
MUNICIPAL SERVICE AND SUPPLY COP;PANY, A CORPORATION, TO OSCAR NELSON, DOING BUSINE
UNDER THE FIRM NAP4E AND STYLE OF THE PADUCAH SANITATION COMPANY, OF ALL RIGHTS AND
PRIVILEGES HELD BY SAID CORPORATION UNDER AND PURSUANT TO THE TERPiS OF A LEASE
ENTERED INTO BET:'1EEN THE CITY OF PADUCAH AND THE MUNICIPAL SERVICE AND SUPPLY
COMPANY ON THE 26TH DAY OF JULY, 1950, FOR USE BY SAID COMPANY OF PROPERTY ON
NORTH SIXTH STREET IN PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AS A SITE FOR THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL
OF GARBAGE AND RUBBISH
1,1&EREAS, on the 25th day of July, 1950, the Board of Commissioners adopted an
ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TIE LEASING OF THE DUMP ON NORTH
SIXTH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, TO THE I4UNICIPAL SERVICE AND SUPPLY
COMPANY FOR USE AS A SITE FOR THE COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE AND RUBBISH;
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR ARID THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID LEASE FOR AND ON BEHALF
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH; AND PRESCRI -ING THE TERNS AND CONDITIONS TO BE CONTAINED
THEREIN"; and
1.`0EREAS, a lease was entered into and executed by the City of Paducah
pursuant to the provisions of said ordinance, and it was provided therein that
the lease should not be assigned either in whole or in part without the approval
of the Board of Commissioners of the city; and
'1HEREAS, the Municipal Service and Supply Company, a corporation, has sold
and assigned to Oscar Nelson, doing business as the Paducah Sanitation Company,
all of its garbage disposal trucks, facilities and equipment, and the said Oscar
Nelson will continue to operate a garbage disposal system in Paducah, Kentucky,
and desires to use the lands described in said lease as a site for the disposal
of garbage and rubbish.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF ZIE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah hereby consent to and approve the sale
and assignment by the Municipal Service and Supply Company, a corporation, to
Oscar Nelson, doing business under the firm name of the Paducah Sanitation Company
all of the rights and privileges granted said corporation under the terms of a
lease executed and delivered to it by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, on the 26th
day of July, 1950, but the consent and approval of said assignment is made upon
the conditdon that all of the terms and provisions of said lease shall remain and
continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 2. The consent and approval of the City of Paducah to the assignment
of said lease is given upon the further condition that the original copy now on
file in the office of the City Clerk shall be assiUned by the Municipal Service
and Supply Company, a corporation to the said Oscar Nelson, said assignment to be
in words and figures the same as that endorsed on the original lease now held by
the l,iunicipal 6ervice and aupply Company.

SECTSOU 3. ?his ordinance shall cc in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
