AN ORDIDANCE AUTHORIZIDiG THE M-1'LOVIENT OF MORRIS A. LEL, A CERTIFIED
PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT, TO MAKE AN AUDIT OF THE ACCOUNTS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
AND ALL CITY OFFICERS FOR THE YEAR 1953 IN CONSIDERATION OF THE PAYD1ENT TO

t9HEREAS, it appearing that the proposal of Horris A. Lee in the sum of
•,x2,600.00 for the oreparation of an audit of all accounts of the City of Padu
for the year 1953 is -fair and reasonable; and
]IIEREAS, the lativ requires that an audit be prepared annually, such
audit of the accounts of all city officers to be made by a qualified public
accountant,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01,11ISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That I•iorris A. Lee, a Certified Public Accountant, be,
and he is hereby employed to make an audit of the accounts and affairs of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, and all of the accounts of all city officers, for
the year 1953 in accordance with his written proposal for the price of ;"�2.,600.0
and the City i-ianager is hereby authorized to enter into and signa contract with
said public accountant for the preparation of said audit. Said Contract shall
provide for the preparation of an audit in compliance i -lith all of the pro-
visions of KRS 92.405, and said Auditor shall furnish to the City in pamphlet
form fifty copies of said audit, one (1) to be published in the official
newspaper, and a copy to be available to each voter rrho may apply for same
at the office of the City Manager.:' Said contract diall also provide for the
furnishing to the City eight (8) copies of the transcript of the auditors viork
sheet, one (1) copy to be furnished to the i•;ayor, the members of the Board of
Commissioners, the City vanager and the City Treasurer.
SEC^1IOI•i 2. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of
the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for not less than one vieek (1)
for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its
final passage, and said ordinance shall be in full force and effect ten (10)
days from and after its adoption.
