A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR
THE PURCHASE OF ONE NEW 1953, OR 1954 ITODEL IF AVAILABLE, ONE-HALF TON
CANOPY EXPRESS TRUCI{ FOR USE BY THE ENGINEERING DEPART14MIT, AND PRE-
SCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH BIDS SHALL BE SUB141BITTED
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C014FICIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to advertise for bids for sale to the City of Paducah of One (1) 1953
Model, or 1954 Kodel if available, one-half ton canopy express truck,
black or green body color, complete with oil bath air cleaner, oil
filter, thermostatic controlled hot mater heater, 6 ply tires, auxiliary
seat, turn signals, optional equipment truck hydra-matic drive.
Bidders to furnish delivery date, complete specifications of truck and
accessories with bid based f.o.b. Paducah, Kentucky.
SECT^ION 2. The City I•Ianager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request
for bids in at least one issue of the Paducah Sun -Democrat. The
notice shall be posted and published at least seven days prior to the
opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten days from the
date on which this resolution is adopted. Ido bid shall be received
unless under seal, nor shall any bid be -received after the hour fixed
in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the City
Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the
Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest re-
sponsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall -reserve the right
to reject any and all bids and the city shall not become legally opligated to
purchase said truck until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the
execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
