A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE
INSTALLATION OF CERTAIN TRAFFIC CONTROL EQUIPMENT, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND
CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH SAID INSTALLATION SHALL BE IJfADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CO&-IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to advertise for bids for the installation of certain traffic control equipment
as follows:
One (1) Controller to be installed at 3rd Street, 4th Street
5th Street and 6th Street on Broadway; 4th Street and 5th
Street on Kentucky Avenue; 4th Street and 6th Street on
Jefferson Street.
One (1) Traffic Light to be installed at 4th & Jefferson Street
The installation is to be done according to plans on file in the
Chier Inspector's office at the City Hall in Paducah, Kentucky. All fixtures,
equipment and material to be furnished by the City of Paducah. Each bidder
shall state the length of time needed for the entire installation.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids
in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and pub-
lished at least seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be
opened within ten days from the date on ghich this resolution is adopted. No
bid shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received agter the
hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the
City Pilanager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board
of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids
and the City shall not become legally obligated to have said equipment installed
until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
