AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE USE BY TRAILERS AND SEMI -TRAILERS, DURING
CERTAIN HOURS OF EACH DAY, OF CERTAIN SECTIONS OF KENTUCKY AVENUE, BROADWAY, JEFF-
ERSON STREET; SECOND STREET, THIRD STREET, FOURTH -STREET, FIFTH STREET AND
SEVENTH STREET IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Definitions. As used'in this ordinance. `
(a) "Semi -trailer" means a vehicle designed to be attached to, and having
its front end supported by, a motor truck or truck tractor, intended for the carry
iug of.freight or merchandise and having a load capacity of over one thousand poun
(b) "Trailer" means any vehicle designed to be drawn by a motor truck_or
truck tractor but supported wholly upon its own wheels, intended for the carrying
of freight or merchandise, and having a load capacity;of over one thousand pounds.
SECTION 2. It shall be unlawful for any personxfirm, company or corpora-
tion to, at any time between the hours.of 8 o'clock A.M. and 5:30 o'clock P.M. sev
(7) days per week, operate any motor truck or truck tractor with either a semi-
trailer or trailer attached thereof, as defined in Section 1, upon the following
streets in the•City of Paducah, Kentucky:
Kentucky Avenue between 2nd'Street and 6th Street
Broadway between 2nd Street and 7th Street
Jefferson hreet•between 2nd Street and 6th Street
2nd Street between Kentucky Avenue and Broadway
3rd Street between Kentucky Avenue and Jefferson Street
4th Street between Kentucky Avenue and Jefferson Street
5th'Street between Kentucky Avenue and Jefferson Street
7th Street between Kentucky Avenue and Jefferson Street
SECTION 3. Any person, firm, company or corporation violating the pro-
visions-of•thi,s-ordinance shall be fined not less than $10.00 nor more than
$100.00.
SECTION 4. All ordinancei'and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are, to the extent•of such conflict,`hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
