THE FIRE DEPARTI.IENT OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS RELATIM TO THE INSTALLATION
AND 1JAINTENANCE AND USE OF PIPING, APPLIANCES AND FITTING6 FOR CITY GAS; PROVIDING
A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND FIXING THE PENALTTY FOR A14Y VIOLATION HEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMTISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCILY:
SECTION 1. That the September 1, 1943 Edition of the Standards of the
National board of Fire Underwriters for the Installation, Maintenance and Use of
Piping, Appliances and Fittings for City Gas, which Standards have been adopted
by the Division of Insurance of the Commonwealth of 'Kentucky, as will be shown
in the 1948 Edition of the Kentucky Standards of Safety appearing of record in
Ordinance Book 11, pages 739 to 806 of the official records of the City of Paducah
Kentucky, together with any and all amendments to the aforesaid Standards for the
installation, maintenance and Use of Piping, Appliances and Fittings for City Gas,
or any revision thereof which may hereafter be adopted by the Division of Insur-
ance of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, be. and the same are hereby adopted by the
City of Paducah as and for the minimum requirements of the City of Paducah for
Paas appliances, and the installation of gas piping, and the installation, alter-
ation and maintenance of gas equipment connected thereto. Said Standards
regulating the irtallation, maintenance and use of piping, appliances and fittings
for city gas are set forth at length in subsequent sections of this ordinance,
which sections are numbered from 100 to 604 and from 1 to 36 but not consecutively
this beim; the numbering system used in the printed copies of said Standards.
