FIXING HOLIDAYS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH", VMICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CODI,IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That an ordinance containing the title quoted above,

which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 23, 1952, be
amended and reordained so that said ordinance as amended and reordained shall read
as follows:
"SECTION 1. That the following days during each calendar year be
designated as holidays on which all city employees, irith the exception of the
PCO v'
police and sire department personnel, will be granted a holiday:

Hemorial Day (I•iay 30)
Independence Day (July 4.)
D Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
and such other holidays as may from time to time be designated by motion of
the Board of Commissioners. If any of the days mentioned herein as holidays
fall on Sunday the ne%t day thereafter shall be observed as a holiday.
As soon as possible after any holiday, the police and fire
department personnel shall be granted a leave of one (1) day to be selected

1 SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
