A RESOLUTION REQUESTING- THE CITY ILIWAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS

PADUCA.H, ICEWTUCA-Y.
SECTION 1. That the City I•Ianager be, and he is hereby authorized
to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of twg new
five passenger, four-foor automobiles, black color, having a minimum
horsepower rating of 95, to be used in the Police Department of the City
of Paducah. Said automobiles to be equipped with heavy duty springs,
clutch, generator and 'heavy duty seat springs, also heater, oil bath,
air cleaner and purilator. Directional signals shall be included.
Each bidder is to state the amount he will accept in cash for the
purchase price of the automobiles he offers for sale, and the length of
time required for delivery after a contract is awarded.
SECTION 2. The City Hanager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the city hall door and by inserting notice of the request
for bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be
posted and published at least seven days prior to the opening of bids and
no bid shall be opened within ten days from the date on which this
resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal, nor
shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the openi,
of bids. All bids received by the City Pianager up to the time fixed in
the notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let
the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners
shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the city shall not
become legally obligated to purchase said automobiles until the adoption
of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
