PADUCAH, KEIVTUCRY.
SECTION 1. That Section 2 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 23, 1952, and amended on
1larch 3, 1953, be, and the same is hereby amended and reordained so
that said section as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
11SCCTI01;% 2. That in order to perform the duties of refuse
collection and disposal as defined in the ';.Refuse Collection and
Disposal Ordinance" there is hereby created the following number of
positions of employment at the rate of pay specified:

8 Truck Drivers X1.23 Per Hr.
22 Collectors 1.172 It ,1
The hourly wages herein provided are for a regular work week
of 44 hours and wages shall be paid on a straight time basis up to and
including said 44 hours. The salaries of persons appointed to said
positions shall be paid at the same time and in the same manner as the
salaries of other city employees are paid.
Provided however, truck drivers shall be paid at the rate of
1.23 per hour for the first six months of their employment and :.'1.32
per hour thereafter. Laborers shall be Paid at the rate of .;;1.172 per
hour for the first 6 months and {;:Z.25 perhour thereafter. The yAcreases
in pay to become effective on the 1st or the 16th day of the month
nearest the date on which said person has been employed for a period
of six months."
SECTI011 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in. full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
