FOR SALE TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF TWO (2) NEW 1953 CHEVROLET 4 DOOR SEDANS TO
BE USED IN THE POLICE DERARTMENT, AND PROVIDING FOR A TRADE-IN ON THE PURCHASE
PRICE OF POLICE CARS NOS. 4 AND 6; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY
SECTION 1. That.the City of Paducah accept the bid of Taylor -Wilson
Chevrolet "company in the amount of Two Thousand Twenty & no/100 ($2,020.00)
Dollars fox the sale of two (2) 1953 Chevrolet 4 door sedans as specified in
its bid dated March 24, 1953., and said price being the difference between the
full sale price..and the amount allowed on a trade-in of Police Cars Nos. 4 and 6.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
purchase , for and on behalf of the City of Paducah, said automobiles on the ,
terms and conditions set out herein and as specified in the bid of,said
company dated March 24, 1953, together with such additional conditions and
covenants which the City Manager may deem necessary.
SECTION 3. ,This ordinance shall be.introduced at a regular meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final
passage, but it being necessary for the Police Department to be furnished with
said new automobiles as soon as possible in order to properly and efficiently
patrol the streets and enforce the ordinances of the City of Paducah and the
streets of the State of Kentucky for the protection of the public health and
safety, an emergency is hereby feclared to exist and this ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
