SALE OF CERTAIN UNUSABLE ITEMS AND SCRAP IRON IN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS;
PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE AND THE MANNER OFADVERTISINGFOR
BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED BY?THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH'7
KENTUCKY: .
SECTION 1. That -the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
advertise for bids for the sale of the old boiler and other miscellaneous scrap
iron at the 6th & Campbell Street plant. The purchase price for same shall be
paid in cash and individual bids shall be submitted on each item.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted
up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request -for bids in at
least one issue of the Sun -De mocrat. The notice shall be posted and published
at least seven days from the date on which this resolutiori'is adopted. No bid
shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received by the City
Manager after the time fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids
.received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed
with the Board of Commissioners who may accept the bid of the highest and -best
bidder.The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to -reject any and
all bids -and they shall not become legally obligated to sell said material
until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing such sale.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
