RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it is believed that a more effective recreation program
for the citizens of Paducah can be obtained by combining under a
single administration the various recreational activities of certain
of the edisttng recreation and park agencies, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Park Commissioners of the City of
Paducah has agreed by resolution to assume responstLi1tty for szch
program and the McCracken County Recreatton Association has requested
the Park Board to do so and has further agreed to dissolve itself
and surrender its charter in tae interest of a more effective ad-
ministration of recreation,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED.that the Board of Commissioners,
effective immediately, places responsibility for administration of
a recreation program for the City of Paducah upon the Board of Park
Commissioners.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this commission will, at an early
date, consider a proper and adequate ordinance, under Chapter 97, Ken-
tucky Revised Statues, setting forth the authority, responsibility,
and duties of the Board of Park Commissioners in the operation of
said recreation program. P
