CITY OF PADUCAH
!/rRFAS, a resolution directing the City Tanager to advertise
for bids for diet kitchen equipment was heretofore adopted and !Notice
to _3ia:aers was duly given and 11ovse_Bond Company was the only bidder
thereon; and
IFEREAS, the Riverside Hospital Commission has recommended accep-
tance of said bid and it is believed to the best interest of the City of
Paducah,
HOW 2f1EREFORE, BE IT ORDAIIIED BY THF BOARD OF C01 IISSIONERS OF
THE CITY OF PADUCAU, K0,TTUCKY:
SECTIO.lT 1. That the bid of House Bond Company for certain
diet kitchen equipment to be furnished and installed in the new addition
to Riverside Hospital be approved in accordance with their bid dated
FEbruary 26, 1953, provided however, that Alternate Equipment Items
Numbers I -B, 7-A, 10-A, 11-8, 13-A, 14-A, 16-2, 20-A, 22-A, 25-A,
27 A, and'28-8 be substituted for the regular corresponding items, in
acoordddoe with the prices quoted on said Company's bid; that with said
Alternates the total amount of said bid is IR01506.70 shich is the amount
hereby approved.
SECTI0IJ 2. Robert C. Cherry, 1_ayor of the City of Paducah, is
hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said liouse-
Bond Company for the diet kitchen equipment specified in Section 1.
Said contract shall provide for the purchase and installation of said
equipment in accordance with specifications on which said bid was received
and all equipment shall be in accordance with the specifications and same
shall be incorporated in said contract. The contract price of '2C,506.70
shall include all of said equipment and the installation thereof, f.o.b.
Paducah, Kentucky, and such other terms as the Corporation Counsel shall
believe to the best interest of the City, and the City shall not become
obligated until such contract is properly executed.
SECT1011 3. The cost of said equipment shall be assessed to the
.riverside TTospital 13uilding Fund and, paLiable therefro;n upon con_aletion
of said installation.
S-_,,MTQi! 4. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regnzlar
MI?etina of the Doard of Commissioners and remain on file.for public

inspection for at least one (1) week in its completed form. in which it
whall be put upon its final passage, but because of the urgent need
of said equipment to aid in completion of the Hospital Addition and the
health and welfare requiring immediate commencement of said work, an
emergency is hereby declared and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
