SECTIOff 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Brandeis
Ii¢ehinery Supply Corporation in the amount of :;4)5,470.00, F.O.B.
Paducah, Kentucky, on terms of 2'` discount if paid within twenty (20)
days from date of purchase contract, for sale to the City of one (1)
Barber Green 604 Aixall of the following description and specifications:
One (1) only Portable 31ack Top Pr, xer, mounted on 2 pneumatic
tires of 6:25x20 -10 ply size, with a Eft. Rotary Drying Drum; Equipped
with Hauck low pressure oil burner, air supplied by Rotts-Connersville
Blower, fuel supplied by a Viking pump,also equipped with a hot air
jacketedtwin shaft pugmill with replaceable liners. A.skip that can be
loaded at ground level or at truck bed height, and the discharge height
a minumin of 31" -maximum of 39". Powered by a 22 H.P. 4 cylinder, 4
cycle engine. Oil bath cleaner and clutch, 12 volt starting equipment.
A capacity of hot mix 5 ton per hour, of cold mix 10 ton per hour. All
enclosed gears to run in oil-Antifriction bearings throughout. Minimum
weight of 6600 lbs. The length of guarantee on"this machine is six (6)
months offering defective parts and wokmanship.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, author-
ized to purchase for and on behalf of the City of Paducah said Portable
j•:ixer as set out in Section 1 on the terms therein stated.
SECT -MW 3. The cost of said mixer is hereby declared to be a
current departmental expense and the same shall be charged to the amount
appropriated, to the Department of Public Works, Street Division, for
equipment upon the adoption of the apportionment ordinance of the year
1953.
SECTIOF 4. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular
meeting of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public
inspection for one week in the completed form in which it shall be
put upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the Street
Division to have said mixer at the earliest date possible so that
work on the streets and public ways may be carried on without delay
an emergency is 'hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
