SECTI0.11 1. Conforming with an Act of the General Assembly of the Common-
wealth of Kentucky in 1952, permitting cities to regulate the weights of
motor trucks, semi -trailers and trailers; and in order to provide maximum
limits with respect to the weight of said vehicles within the city limits,
and within 15 miles thereof, no person shall operate on any street or public
way of this city, except as hereinafter provided.
SECTIO11 2. The motor vehicles listed below may operate over any street
within the city limits of Paducah, designated as a State or Federal Highway,
or as a connecting link street, or in iloCracken County within 15 miles of the
city limits of the City of Paducah, provided same does not exceed the gross
weights shown below:
Semi single axle trailer, gross weight 55,000 pounds,
Semi tandem trailer or semi tandem trailer and tractor, cross
weight 59,000 pounds.
Provided, however, that the gross weight in any of the instances above,
including load, may not exceed 18,000 pounds on any axle.
SuCTIO01 3. All ordinances in conflict, in whole or in part, are to the
extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
SECTIO.: S. Any person who operates a vehicle and any owner who knows
or consents to the operation of his vehicle in, violation of this ordinance
shall voon conviction be fined not less than .;:25.00 nor more than '200.00 and
each vehicle so operated on each separate occasion or day in violation
hereof shall constitute a separate offense.
SECTIOA1 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.
