SEC.TIOW 1. That the City i,anager be, and he is hereby authorized, to
advertise for the purchase of one (1) only portable 31ac,'i Ton Aiixer, mounted
on 2 pneumatic tires of 8:25 x 20 _ 10 m y size, with a G -ft. Rotary Drying
Drum; Equipped with low pressure oil burner, air supplied, by blower, fuel
supplied by pump, also equipped with a hot air Jacketed twin shaft pugrrzill
with replaceable liners. A ship that can be loaded at ground level or at
truck bed height, and the discharge height a minimum of 3111 - maximum of 3911.
Powered, by a minimum of 22 H.P. 4 cylinder, 4 cycle engine. Oil bath cleaner
and clutch, l2 volt starting equipment. A minimum capacity of hot mix
5 ton per hour, of cold mix l0 ton per hour. All enclosed gears to run in
oil - Antifriction bearings throughout - Hinimum weight of 6600 lbs.
SECTI011 2. The City i,anager shall advertise for bids by posting a
notice at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids
in at least one (1) issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted
and published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids and no bid
shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on which this Resolution
is adopted. A:'o bid shall be received after the hour fixed in the notice for
the opening of bids. All bids received by the City Alanager zip to the time
fixed in the notice for the opening of bids shall be filed with the Board of
Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
The Board of Commissioners shall not become legally obligated to purchase
said ecvipment until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution
of a contract.
SEC.TIOIJ 3. This .Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
