FTION DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
CHASE OF A DESCRIPTIVE BOOKKEEPING MACHINE WITII A DIRECT
ION FEATURE FOR USE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY TREASURER,
BING THE PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED BY THE CITY MANAGER
WHEN ADVERTISING FOR SAID BIDS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COLU4ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorizes
to advertise for bids for the purchase by the City of Paducah of a
Ildescriptive bookkeeping machine with a direct multiplication featur
for use in the City Treasurer's office, and he shall advertise for
1lbids by notice posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting
notice of the request for bids in at least one issue of the Hun -Dem
I
ocrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least seven day
(prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten
days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid she
be received unless it is under seal, nor shall any bid be received
after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All
bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notic
shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the
contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Commission•
ers reserves the right to reject any and all bids and the city shal:
not become legally obligated to purchase said machine until the
execution of a contract pursuant to an ordinance under which a bid
is accepted.
SECTION 2. This resolution to be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
