71HEREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended 00 _0
the amendment of Sections 2 and 3 of the aforesaid ordinance as shown N
by its final report embodied in a resolutioli adopted by it on May 16th, 1947;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COLKISSIONERS OF THE
CITY Or PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the aforesaid final report of the City Planning and Zoning
Commission be approved, and that Sections 2 and 3 of an ordinance entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE APPROVING TC ZONING OF THE PARR REALTY COMPANY ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF PADUCAH AS A RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT, AND PRESCRIBING BUILDING AND
CONSTRUCTION RESTRICTIONS THEREIN, AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF", which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 2,
1937, be and the same is hereby amended so that said sections as amended
shall read as follows: n
"SECTION 2. In order to further promote the general
welfare of the people in said district or zone and tom(S-/`/SD
enhance the desirability of said residential zone or
area, no residence shall be permitted to be constructed =Dy that will cost less than $9000.00. No trailer, basement, tent, /a /
shack, garage, barn or other outbuilding erected in the tract
shall at any time be used as a residence temporarily or per-
menently, nor shall any residence of a temporary character be
permitted.
"SECTION 3. No building shall be permitted to be constructed
or erected on any lot in said sub -division closer than 25
feet from the property line or 37 feet from the curb line
on the street in front of such building, and no residence
maybe built on any lot unless it fronts the street in the
manner in which the lots are now laid out, or in the manner
in which the lots may later be resubdivided and approved
by the City Planning and Zoning Board."
SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
If any section or provision of this ordinance shall be found to
be inoperative or ineffective for any cause, the invalidity of such section
or provision shall not affect any other section or provision of this

ordinance, it being the purpose of this ordinance to make each and every
section and provision hereof separable from all other sections and provisions.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
