AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION TO AMEND SECTION 5 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: "API ORDINANCE
APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COYWISSION PRO-
VIDING FOR THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY AN ALLEY BET
WEEN MADISON AND HARRISON STREETS, ON THE EAST BY THE PROPERTY LINE OF 24TH
STREET, ON THE SOUTH BY AN ALLEY BE7,VEEN MONROE AND JEFFERSON STREETS AND ON
THE VEST BY THE PROPERTY LINE OF 28TH STREET, THE SAVE BEING KNOWN AS THE
II!ALLORY SUB -DIVISION', AS SHOWN BY PLAT PREPARED BY J. H. BANES, SURVEYOR
ON OCTOBER 1939, AS AN EXCLUSIVE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT OR ZONE AND
PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY TO BE IMPOSED FOR VIOLATION OF THE RESTRICTIONS
SET FORTH IPI A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
ON 24TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1939", AND AMENDING SECTION 5 OF SAID ORDINANCE
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF CWSt:ISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 27, 1939, AND
AMENDED ON MARCH 19, 1946
AMREAS, the City Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended
the amendment of Section 5 of the aforesaid ordinance as shown by its
final report embodied in a resolution adopted by it on May 16th, 1947;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the aforesaid final report of the City Planning and Zoning
Commission be approved, and that Section 5 of an ordinance entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING
COMMISSION PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BOUNDED ON THE NORTH
BY AN ALLEY BETWEEN MADISON AND HARRISON STREETS, ON THE EAST BY THE PROPERTY
LINE OF 24TH STREET, ON THE SOUTH BY AN ALLEY BETWEEN MONROE AND JEFFERSON
STREETS AND ON THE PEST BY THE PROPERTY LINE OF 28TH STREET, THE SAME BEING
KNOWN AS THE 'MALLORY SUB=DIVISION', AS SHOWN BY PLAT PREPARED BY J. H. BANES
SURVEYOR ON OCTOBER 1939, AS AN EXCLUSIVE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT OR ZONE
AND PRESCRIBING THE PENALTY TO BE IMPOSED FOR VIOLATION OF THE RESTRICTIONS
SET FORTH IN A RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
ON 24TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 193911, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioner
on November 27, 1939 and amended on March 19, 1946, be and the same is
hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as follows:
"Section 5. No dwelling costing less than $7500.00 shall
be permitted to be constructed on any lot on either side
of Monroe Street between 24th and 28th Streets, and
no dwelling costing less than $5000.00 shall be
permitted to be constructed on any lot on either side
of Madison Street between 24th and 28th Streets.
The ground floor square foor area of the main structure,
exclusive of one story porches and garages shall not
be less than 850 square feet in the case of a one story
structure nor less than 750 square feet in the case of a
one and a half or two story structure."

SECTION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to
the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be in dill force and effect from and after its
adoption.
