PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMIENT OF A BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISS-
IONE'DS, FIXING AND PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS, TERi'S OF OFFICE,
POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID COMMISSIONERS; PRESCRIBING THE RULES BY

REGULATIONS PROVIDED HEREIN; AND PRESCRIBING THE RULES AND REGULA-
TIONS GOVERNING THE CONDUCT OF ALL EMPLOYEES AFFECTED THEREBY APID
THE CAUSES FOR WHICH ANY EMPLOYEE MAY BE REPRIMANDED, SUSPENDED,

BILITY CLAUSE," WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF C0104ISSIONERS
ON DECEI•IBER 2, 1947, AND AMENDED ON FEBRUARY 24, 1948, AND ON
APRIL 20, 1948.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF m� CITY OF
PADUCAFI, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Sections 7, 8, 9, 13, 22 AIID 23 of the
ordinance bearing the title quoted in ttr title of this ordinance
be repealed, amended and reordained so that said sections as amends
and reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 7. There is hereby authorized the followin
positions in the Department of Finance, an the salary of each
position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under
any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:

"SEC TION 8. There is hereby authorized the following positions

Cemetery and Floodivall Divisions of said Department, and the salary
of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed
under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as

"SECTION 9. There is hereby authorized the following

the salary of each position., provided the amount of such salary is

"SECTIOid 13. The salaries of employees of the city may be
decreased at the time of the adoption of the annual apportionment
ordinance, and all officers and employees of the city shall be
��ound thereby.
�.- "SECTIOII 22. Each employee is hereby assessed three por
cont (3") of his or her monthly salary or erases beginning January 1,
1949, and such assessments shall be paid into and credited to the
pension fund by the City Treasurer, to be held in trust subject to
the orders of the Board of Trustees.
"SECTION 23. The Board of Commissioners shall annually
levy a tax of not less than three cents (3rf,) nor more than the
maximum rate authorized by state law on each X100 assessed valuation;
of taxable property in the city to create and maintain the pension

fund herein provided for."
SECTIOII 2. Sections 10, 11 and 12 of the ordinance bearinl
the title quoted in the title of this ordinance are hereby repealed.'
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be retroactively effective,
on and after January 1, 1949, and the salariauthorized )-`ore)n
J shall be paid for services rendered on and aJanuar ./l, 1949.
