600
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE STANDARDS OF SAFETY APPROVED BY THE
I
DIVISION OF INSURANCE, FIRE PREVENTION AND RATES SECTION, OF THE
STATE OF KENTUCKY, THE 1948 EDITION, TOGETHER WITH ANY AMENDMENTS
THERETO; PROVIDING THAT SAID STANDARDS OF SAFETY SHALL BE MADE A
PART OF THIS ORDINANCE AND 40 HAVE THE SAAE FORCE AND EFFECT AS IF
FULLY COPIED HEREIN; AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION OF
SAID STANDARDS OF SAFETY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the 1948 edition of the Standards of Safety
approved by the Division of Insurance Fire Prevention and Rates
Section, of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, together with any and all
amendments thereto, or revisions thereof, which may hereafter be
adopted by the Division of Insurance, Fire Prevention and Rates .
Section of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, are hereby adopted and
approved and the same are to have the same force and effect as if
fully copied herein, and the provisions thereof are hereby carried
into force and effect as fully and to the same extent as if copied
into this ordinance section by section. Said Standards of Safety
are filed with and as a part of this ordinance, the same being
markbd for identification "Standards of Safety adopted by the
Board of Commissioners on November 30, 1948".
SECTION 2. Any person, firm, company, corporation or aesocia-
tion failing to comply with any provision of the Standards of Safe y
mentioned in Section 1 hereof shall to fined not less than $10.00,
nor more than $100.00 for each violation thereof, and each time ori
each day any provision of said Standards of Safety is violated shall
constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 3. This ordinance is supplemental to all other ordi-
nances in effect in the City of Paducah, but to the extent of any
conflict between it and any other ordinance, such other ordinance
or ordinances are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
