ORDINANCE REGULATING THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION, ERECTION AND
MAINTENANCE OF SIGNS AND BILLBOARDS WITHIN THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON
OCTOBER 11th, 1937
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 6 of an ordinance con-
taining the title quoted above, which was adopted by the
Board of Commissioners on October 11th, 1937, be, and the
same is hereby amended so that said section as amended
shall read as follows:
"Section 6. Before any parson may be issued -a
permit under this ordinance for a sign suspended over
a street or extending into a street more than one (1)
foot beyond the building line, such person shall obtain
and file with the City Engineer of the City of Paducah
and continue to keep in force while said sign remains
suspended, a liability policy or policies issued by
a company licensed to do business in Paducah,
conditioned for the benefit of persons suffering
injury, loss or damage to their person or property
resulting from the suspension and maintenance of said
sign, or resulting from any accident which might occur
by reason of the falling of said sign, or resulting
from any cause in connection with the suspension or
maintenance thereof, and which policy or policies shall
also protect the City of Paducah, its agents, servants
or employees against any and all liability which may be
imposed upon it or them by reason of the suspension or
maintenance of said sign, or on account of any accident
resulting from the suspension or maintenance thereof.
The said liability policy or policies shall be in the sum
of not less than Ten Thousand ($10,000.00) Dollars for the
injury to or death of any one person, and not less than
Twenty Thousand($20,000.00) Dollars for the injury to or
death of all persons affected by any one accident, and not
less than One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars for the benefit
of persona who may sustain property damage in any one accident
resulting from the negligent suspension or maintenance of said,
sign."

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances
• in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict
hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
