ORDAINED BY ME BOARD OF COM,I 31ONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or cor- poration to install or use a telephone on a telephone pole or any other stationary* object located in or on any street, sidewalk or other public way of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the purpose of conductin` any business, occupation or trade, or advertising any business, occupation or trade. SECTION 2. It shall also be unlawful for any telephone company to permit any telephone to remain upon any telephone pole or other stationary object within any street, sidewalk or other public -say of the City of Paducah for the purpose of providing service for anyone to transact or in any business, occupation or trade. SECTIO_d 3. Any person, firm or corporation violatinS the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not less than ;15.CO and not more than k.25.00, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period of not exceeding 50 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, and each day this ordinance is violated shall be a separate offense and punishable as such. SECTION 4. The provisions of this ordinance are hereby declare to be severable, and if any provision hereof shall be found or de- clared to be invalid, such decision or invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions of this ordinance, it being the intention of the Board of Commissioners to enact each and every provision con- tained herein separately and irrespective of any other provision. SECTIO_? 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after September 1,, 1948.
