BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO-MMISSIOIIERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCIM
SECTION 1.
That the City of Paducah accept the bid of henry A.
Fetter Supply Company for the purchase of 1000 feet of 221 inch
Target double jacket municipal fire hose at the price of 9j1.24
per foot, and the Mayor (or the ;.;ayor Fro Tem in the event of
the Mayor's absence from office and his inability to attend to the
duties of his office) is hereby authorized and empowered, for and
on behalf of the City of Paducah, to enter into a contract with the
Henry A. Fetter Supply Company for the purchase of said hose, said
contract to contain .the terms and conditions set forth in the
written bid of said Company dated July 12, 1948, a copy of which
is filed herewith and made a part of this ordinance to the same
extent as if fully copied herein.
uEC TION 2.
The purchase price for said fire hose shall be paid in
cash and the amount paid shall be charged to Account i:o. 3285
under the Apportionment Ordinance adopted in the year 1948.
SECTIOP; u.
It being necessary to immediately purchase fire hose
in order to protect the property of the City of Paducah and
its citizens against loss by fire, the public health, safety
and welfare of the citizens require that this ordinance become
immediately effective. An emergency is therefore declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its a::option.
