BE IT ORDAIN -D BY THE BOARD OF CO;:II+IISSIONERS Or THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That Sections 17 and 18 of an ordinance containing the
title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commission-
ers on M:ay 14th, 1940, be and the same are hereby amended so that
said sections as amended shall read as follows:
"SECTION 17. No premises for which there has been granted
a license for the sale at retail of alcoholic liquor or beverages /6
shall be permitted to remain open for any purpose between the
hours of 12:00 o'clock 'Widnight and 8:00 o'clock A.M. on any week
day, or at anytime during the tvienty-four hours of a Sunday, or
until 4:00 o'clock P.`I, on any election day, and no premises for
which there has been granted a license for the sale at retail of
nalt beverages and beer shall be permitted to remain open for any
Durpose between the hours of 12:00 o'clock midnight and 6:00
)'clock A.LI. on any week day, or at any time during the twenty -
.our hours of a Sunday, or until 4:00 o'clock P.i,', on any election
lay. Provided, however, that if a licensee provides a separate
leoartment within his licensed premises capable of being locked
tnd closed off, within which is kept all stocks of alcoholic
Liquor or malt beverages, ineludinZ beer, and all fixtures and
apparatus connected with his business as such licensee, and said
lepartment is kept locked during the times mentioned above, he
hall be deemed to have complied with this section".

"SECTIO1, 18. ido person holding any 11cense under KRS 243.120
to 243.670 shall lcnoiin7ly employ in connection with his alcoholic
beverage business in any capacity whatsoever any person who is
under the age of 20 years. It shall also be unlawful for any perso
licensed to sell alcoholic beverages at retail to sell, deliver, or
rive away any alcoholic beverages, or procure or permit any alcohol -c
beverages to be sold, given away or delivered to a minor, or an
intoxicated person or a person actually or apparently under the
influence of liquor, or to an habitual drunkard, or to any one know
to the seller to have been convicted of a felony or convicted of an
misdemeanor or offense attributable directly or indirectly to the
use of intoxicating licuors".
SEC TION 2.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewit
are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be in full force and se t from
and after its adoption. .
