FOR THE PURCHASE OF 1000 FEET OF FIRE HOSE, AND PRESCRIBING THE
MAIMER IN 'fiHICH THE REQUEST FOR BIOS SHALL BE ADVERTISED
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COM-IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the City Manager, Victor C. Hobday, be and he is hereby
authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of 1000 feet of
2 1/2 inch cotton, rubber lined, double jacket municipal fire hose.
Said fire hose tocomply with the specifications which are attached
to and made a part of this resolution, same being marked for identi
fication "Specifications covering 22" cottom rubber lined double
Jacket municipal fire department fire hose".
Bids shall be received by the City Manager on a date to be fixed
by him at least ten days following the date of the passage of this
resolution and all bids shall be submitted under seal. He shall
advertise for bids by notice posted at the City Fall Door and by
inserting_ notice of the request for bids in at least one (1) issue
of the Sun -Democrat, said notice to be published at least seven (7)
days prior to the opening of bids. No bid shall be received after
the hour fixed for the opening of bids, and they shall thereafter bE
filed by the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the
lowest responsible bidder.
SECTION 2.
The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and
shall not become legally liable or obligated to the successful
bidder until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution
of a contract.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption. /,_�
