THE CITY OF PADUCAH BOUNDED ON THE NORTHEAST BY THIRTY-SECOND
STREET, ON THE SOUTHEAST BY CENTRAL AVENUE, ON THE SOUTHNEST BY
THIRTY-THIRD STREET AND ON THE NORTII'EEST BY THE BRANCH; PROVIDING
FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DEED OF DEDICATION TO A PORTION OF THE
PROPERTY WITHIN SAID BLOCK IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A SPACE OF SUFFICIENT
SIZE FOR T,E TURNING AROUND OF VEHICLES WHICH ENTER THAT PORTION
OF THE ALLEY 'WHICH IS NOT ORDERED TO BE CLOSED UNDER THIS ORDINANCE;
AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE IN THE McCRACKI
CIRCUIT COURT A SUIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF LEGALLY CLOSING THOSE
PORTIONS OF ALLEYS ORDERED TO BE CLOSED HEREBY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COi1MISSIGNERS OF THE CITY OF
1PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize
the closing of portions of certain public alleys which intersect
that lot of land in the City of Paducah bounded on the northeast
11by Thirty-second street, on the southeast by Central Avenue, on the
lsouthwest by Thirty-third street and on the northwest by "The Brancq",
which portions of alleys to be closed as provided under this
are more particularly described as follows:
"Beginning at a point in the northeast line of 33rd
street 180 feet from Central Avenue, said point being
at the south corner of Lot :;o. 15 in Block 'D -D' of
Gregory Heights sub -division as shown by the plat of
said sub -division of record in Plat Book 'A', page 118
in the McCracicen County Court Clerk's Office; thence
parallel with Central Avenue and along the southeast
line of Lot No. 15 and Lot No. 9 in Block 'D -D' 265 feet;
thence along the line parallel with 33rd street and in a
southeasterly direction 20 feet to the -northwest line of
Lot No. 5; thence along the line parallel with Central
Avenue and along the nortkiv+est lines of Lots No. 5, 4, 3,
2 and 1, 265 feet to the northeast line of 33rd street;
thence with the northeast line of 33rd street in a north-
westerly direction 20 feet to the point of beginning."
"Beginning at a point on the southeast side of
the Branch, said point being 206.2 feet from 33rd
street in the north corner of Lot No. 12 in Block
'D -D' of Gregory Heights sub -division as shown
by the plat of said sub -division of record in Plat
Book 'A', nage 118 in the McCracken County Court
Clerk's office; thence parallel with 33rd street
and along and with the northea=st line of Lots No.
12, 13, 14 and 15, 175.9 feet; thence parallel with
Central Avenue and in a northeasterly direction 20
feet to the southwest line of Lot No. 9; thence in
a northwesterly direction and parallel with 33rd
street and alonE. the southwest line of Lots No. 9,
10, and 11, 173.5 feet to the southeast side of the
Branch; thence in a southwesterly direction and
with the southeast side of the Branch 20 feet more
or less to the point of beginninS."
And the Corporation Counsel is hereby authorized to institute
in the McCracken Circuit Court a suit for the purpose of carry -
inr, the provisions of this ordinance into effect.

SECTION 2. That the City of Paducah accept the offer of
Mrs. Catherine r. L:oody, "William Wooldridge and his wife, Lucy
Wooldridge, to dedicate and rededicate for public use and as
a public alley that strip of ground running from 32nd street
a distance of 164.8 feet, said strip of ground being in the
middle of the aforesaid block between Central Avenue and the
Branch, as well as an additional area to provide sufficient
space for vehicles to turn around when entering said alley
from 32nd street, the strip of ground so dedicated and re-
dedicated as a public alley being more particularly described
as follows, to -wit;
"Beginning on the southwest line of 32nd street, 160 feet
from Central Avenue and at the east corner of Lot No. 9 in
Block ID -DI of Gregory Heights sub -division as shown on the
plat of said sub -division of record in Plat Book 'A', page
118 in the McCracken County Court Clerk's Office; thence in
a southwesterly direction and along the southeast line of Lot
No. 9, 123.8 feet; thence parallel with 33rd street and in a
northerosterly direction 10 feet; thence parallel with Central
Avenue and in a southwesterly direction 40 feet; thence along
a line 265 feet from and parallel with 33rd street and in a
southeasterly direction 40 feet; thence parallel with Central
Avenue and in a northeasterly direction 40 feet; thence
parallel with 33rd street and in a nortIviesterly direction
10 feet; thence parallel with Central Avenue and with the
northwest line at Lots No. 6, 7 and 8, 122.9 feet to
the southwest line of 32nd street; thence with the south-
west line of 32nd street in a northwesterly direction 20
feet to the point of beginning."
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and e_"fect
from and after its adoption.
